Tours: Matchbook Romance to reunite in May

Matchbook Romance has announced some reunion shows in May in the New York and New Jersey area. The band split up in 2007 after a decade together. The band notes:

We are proud to announce our first 3 comeback shows. This will be the first time we have shared the stage in over 2 years and we hope that all of our amazing fans will come out and have a great time with us. Go to the links below to purchase your tickets.

Not true at all. Sure, Stories and Alibis was your typical early 00's emo/screamo/whatever album, but it was at least somewhat enjoyable. They really did it better than most in the genre at that time. Voices, however, was a huuuge step up, and vastly underrated. The songs were heavy, experimental, melodic without being too poppy, and just rocked super hard. If that's the direction they're going, I couldn't be happier this band is back together. Saw them live twice, kicked ass both times. And the drummer is freakin' incredible. Dudes with the sense to really listen to a band before criticizing them are stoked.

Haha. I remember when they broke up kids were like, "WOOO!! BEST DAY EVAR!"

I couldn't understand it because it seemed like no one cared about them when they were together but everyone was celebrating their demise. Well, time to do the anti-sandwich (It's where I take a shit while playing bowling on my cell phone).

Apparently the courts in the US agree with you. From Wikipedia:

Legally, In the United States the ruling in the case of Panera Bread Co. v. Qdoba Mexican Grill established that a true sandwich (from a legal perspective) must include at least two slices of bread. An open-faced sandwich does not satisfy this condition.

I don't give a shit about that, though. As long as it means I get delicious garlic toast along with my steak, they can keep calling it a sandwich.

Man, I remember when that dude just couldn't sing, it sounded awful, and then Voices came out and it was soooo much better. I haven't listened to it in a while but I remember liking it alright.

This band just feels like leftovers from Epitaph trying to cash in on some marketable pop punk. I mean I get it, I understand, but that wont stop me and anyone else who respects punk music from calling these pussies out. The gravy train dropped these fellas off long ago and I'm willing to bet that their heads just stopped spinning enough for them to realize that they fucked up a once in a lifetime opportunity.

They have been around since 1997. The singer and bassist were in a band called Fizzlewink which they started in High School.
