Yeah I didn't think so either, but he mentions it in his book, and I remember years ago he missed a few Unseen shows I went to so I asked their merch guy about his absence and he said Tripp was finishing grad school.

I like both fairly equally. In general, I've liked the Street Dogs more recently, but The Meanest of Times (while mediocre) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>State of Grace (terrible).

Did anyone read Tripp's book that came out a few years ago?

Not bad, but it was littered with typos and the font reminded me of a first graders chapter book.

they sound too much like the Loved Ones-light for me and I think I'd have to REALLY like the Loved Ones to like them, they aren't bad though. I've also heard they are kind of rockstar-ish which is funny cuz I'd level the same criticism at The Loved Ones the last few times I've seen them.

Yeah that's the one thing that bothers me about TAL. I knew they could 'make it' from day one, so I don't really see it as "selling out"... they were always headed in this direction. But they wear either muscle shirts or the singer wears suspenders a lot of the time... and they have some hairstyles and stuff. But the singer was an actor on a Nickelodeon show, so I mean... yeah.

I still love their music just to listen to and not really care about everything else. And we know that they do like good music, they just want to make a living out of this I guess, so they put on a show.

Living > Let's Start A Riot, by far. I hope they don't get even more poppy on the full length this year. They probably will.

Just got homr from the Swingin Utters show in Asbury park New Jersey...they were great....Got to hang out with all the bands..that was great....Left before the Street dogs even came on....Utters were great but the venue sucks..and had no interest in the street dogs union shit...DKM sucks..and mike colgan wears ballhugger levis which was fucking hilarious....now he sucks
