Detournement (Lifetime, Ensign, Ratchets, Bigwig) announce debut

Detournement, which includes Zak Kaplan (Worthless United), Tom Petta (Bigwig), Scott Golley (Lifetime), Dan Desimoni (Plan A Project) and Nate Gluck (Ensign), have announced their debut album. The record is titled Screaming Response and is due out May 5, 2009. Detournement will be supporting their debut release with a series of East Coast dates with The Bouncing Souls, The Loved Ones, Black President and others.

The band has posted 2 new songs on their myspace page.

The organ solo on "Fuck This, I'm Out" from the "'69 Sound" could be my favorite moment on the collection. it's wierd hearing these songs with decent mastering and not shitty vinyl rips.

This sounded interesting, but I was not interested in the 2 songs on their myspace page. I expected more Bigwig (on vocals at least). Score is for those 2 songs. 1.5/5

Tom told me he was jamming with these guys last summer. I didn't know they were going to do an album, so I'm super stoked. Worthless, The Ratchets, and Bigwig are three of my fav bands. No esta solo sounds very Zak and I'm way stoked about that!!!!
