Cancer Bats expand "Hail Destroyer" with Murder City Devils, Tegan and Sara, Faint covers

Chart is reporting that a deluxe UK edition of 2008's Cancer Bats record Hail Destroyer will feature covers of Tegan and Sara's "So Jealous," Murder City Devils "I Want A Lot (So Come On)" and the Faint's "Agenda Suicide." The set will also include a new song from that album's sessions titled Engine Skull." The CD will be packaged with a DVD collecting live footage from the band's recent tours.

Those four new songs will also be available as a separate four song EP at upcoming shows.

In addition the Toronto based hardcore band will release a limited-edition split7" on April 27th with Rolo Tomassi. It will feature aforementioned Faint cover and Rolo Tomassi's "Jealous Bones."

don't care this band much, but I'm interested to hear this, except for the Tegan and Sara one..... I don't understand how so many people like them.. can't get into the pretentious lezbo pop

i wasn't trying to be all huffy and puffy about it, but a band like Le Tigre is primarily a lesbian band. i don't really see that with Tegan and Sarah.

I can't get over how huge they are in the UK and Europe. I've never heard them... how would you describe them.

Everytime I hear their name though, I always think of the hip-hop group by the same name

I don't know...it's been a long time since I've heard them. They kinda seemed like a pop punk Linkin Park to me, if I remember right. I've heard the same thing you said that they're really big in Europe. Then again, so were McFly and Robbie Williams, so there you go...
