Bad Religion and NOFX have announced a run through Australia together this coming September. NOFX is supporting their upcoming album, Coaster, and Bad Religion continues to support New Maps of Hell.

Yeah, that's why it came to mind. I read during lunch: He tried out w/ Green Bay, visited Michigan about playing QB there and talked to Duke's coach about playing WR for them. He was a big football recruit coming out of high school. I just think he seems like a douche. I was at the VT game where the "teabag Paulus" chants are from. It was lots-of-fun cheering that and seeing the horrified expressions on the faces of the Duke players parents (well, after somebody in their section explained what it means, of course).

Buddy how many 15 year olds do you know that like the 4 bands mentioned? I would have thought they appeal to a lot older audience.

To me the four main/biggest punk bands have always been those four bands, so to see them together would be a dream.....sorry that those four bands got to popular for your punk ass to like anymore

At fifteen those four bands would have been a wet dream. Now you couldn't pay me to see NOFX. I still like the other ones though. For what it's worth those bands didn't get too popular, they just got old. Fuck I love Bad Religion and I hope they pack it up soon, NOFX hasn't wrote a song I give a Shit about in years. Course that could have something to do with Fat Mike rubbing me the wrong way.... Pennywise not much into them but they always did put on a good show.

I am sure a lot of 15 year olds would wet themselves over those bands, shit I would have 15 years ago. Problem is that was 15 years ago and as stated NOFX havent written a decent song in years, Rancid may be on the right track again, Bad Religion I will agree with and Pennywise are just down right boring.

Why would I care?
If you'd asked that before The War on Errorism I would have said the following:
In the great punk war of the early 90's I chose the Fugazi side, and I constantly see Bad Religion in a bad light. They'll charge 10 bucks, on a fifteen foot high stage.
Fat Mike can and should write "proper" punk songs, so why doesn't he?
And. THEN. "Franco Unamerican" came screaming out of my radio. OK. I thought, he's done this before. One political song surrounded by songs about drugs and sex.
And then I heard the album. And read the insert.
I must have a psychic link to Mike Burkett!
THE punk band to save the scene have delivered.
So, only chance to see BR, is if they support NoFX. But could Mike bear to headline over his heroes?
