Gotta love it. I lived up that way my whole life until going to college. It's always funny to me how Pieres still holds down the nu-metal fort that those white trash douche bags can't seem to get enough of up there. I mean really, I'm always seeing trash like 10 Years or Nonpoint or Ill Nino constantly being booked at Pieres. Yuck.

Haha, yeah, the place is hilarious. The same 10 nu-metal bands sell the place out once a year. The only show I ever saw there was the Urge, and I had to sneak in cause I wasn't 21 yet. Freaking Korn just got booked to play Pierre's. How the "mighty" have fallen. The Backdoor used to be the place to go. I saw Alkaline Trio, AAA, Apocalypse Hoboken, Appleseed Cast, Young Idols, Lawrence Arms, and plenty more there. There's a bar called the Brass Rail that has had some solid shows. Wavves and Jay Reatard where there recently. Not much else to speak of.

Every Time I Die played with The Dillinger Escape Plan. That was pretty cool except the crowd was garbage considering Killswitch was the headliner. Was rather funny tearing it up with those two bands while nobody in the bar knew what the fuck was going on.

Why can't Hatebreed tour with nu-metal bands again? I remember when Hatebreed came to Piere's once before but they brought along the sweet line up of Spineshank and American Head Charge. I mean, I was young and stupid and thought that sounded awesome at the time but looking back I thank the stars that I wasn't 21 and wasted my time.

Now you've got my attention. Why do you say Fort Wayne is the shittiest city in America?

I only ask because that's where I reside. It's no great shakes, but I've certainly been to worse cities. Is there a story to this? I'd like to hear.

Plus, long ago when I was still a youngster, good bands would actually play here. We get some once in a while still. This show isn't what I'm talking about though.

I'm with ya. I grew up there and Ft. Wayne doesn't hold a candle to Detroit as far as shit holes go. No where does. Plus Glenbrook is such a solid mall. I'm in Indy now and we dont even have anything as good. Oddly enough, best show I saw in Ft. Wayne was Hatebreed with Poison The Well and What Feeds The Fire. I think Bane was supposed to be there but didnt make it? I was just a kid and that show changed my life. Seriously, really showed me about hardcore. Especially WFTF. That shit was awesome.
