Danzig working on new album

According to a Blabbermouth report, Glenn Danzig is currently in the studio working on his next full length. Drummer Johnny Kelly of Type O Negative and Tommy Victor (Prong) will appear on most of the tracks.

The CD will feature a song called "Long Dark Road", which is decribed by Glenn as "very creepy and echo-y. It's like an old kind of '50s-ish kind of song. I've been having in my head probably for about six, seven, eight years. I haven't gotten around to recording it, and I recorded it, so it's pretty cool."

The record will be his first full length since 2004's Circle of Snakes. In the interim year, Danzig also released his neo-classical album, Black Aria II.

Well the one time I had it I was already drunk and even then I was taken back by the bite to it. But since I was drunk I guess I can't be the best of critics. I guess I would suggest getting it. And I'm "mexican." So doesn't that make my opinion worth more? Since I sit back and work construction, drink Tecate and listen to Tejano music on my breaks.

mine are negra modelo and dos equis. down with corona (espc. w/ lime, cause fruit + beer is unnecessary). also, if you are gettin down on margueritas, its gotta be on the rocks.. anything but nursing a frozen drink makes it impossoble to drink, unless you like brainfreeze

I understand he was the best Misfits singer, but I don't understand why he gets the logo after 25 years of not being in the band.

Because he was the Misfits. The only reason anyone knows who the Misfits are is because of Danzig. He wrote all the material. The Misfits only became popular when Danzig made it big and fans started searching out his earlier work. Then Jerry decided he deserved some cash because Danzig let him hang around. Jerry gets to perform with his pathetic band as the Misfits. He dragged the name threw the mud with terrible performances, lineup changes, and putting the logo on lunch boxes. He has no talent, or integrity, but hey, now he's got money. No Danzig, no Misfits.

Despite everything and, although at times he can be a total douche, I still enjoy much of the man's music. Some of it is very corny ('She Rides', 'Kiss the Skull') but its always quality and when he hits his mark ('Twist of Cain', 'Until You Call On the Dark', 'How the Gods Kill') he is unstoppable, plus the man knows how to sing, that's for sure. I hope this new album is a bit more atmospheric and less "run of the mill metal" that the last one was.
