well i'll be downloading this illegally. sorry guys, but if you're gonna deliberately ignore the one format i actually buy music on, then i ain't paying for it. having said that, i can't wait to hear the whole thing. can't wait for the next full-length (it BETTER be released on CD!).

CDs are expensive to make, and CDEPs just aren't cost-effective. 7"s are so expensive to make nowadays that you even still take a loss on them if they sell out.

Of course a full length would be on CD. In any case, I hope you change your mind and at least pick up the 7" at an upcoming show.

but if cds and 7"s are both non-cost-effective, why not go for cds? more or less EVERYONE has something they can play cds on, be it a stereo, a laptop, or whatever. i've never understood why a band would record some awesome tracks they're proud of and would logically want as many people as possible to hear, and then confine the release to one physical format. if i hear it and REALLY like the whole thing, i might pay to download it, but a download just seems so disposable. there's albums/eps i've downloaded both legally and illegally that i almost forget i even have, just because they're downloads, and it doesn't occur to me because i don't have the physical cd.

fuck, i guess i'm in the position that all the die-hard vinyl-lovers were in a few years ago.

i'm a little wary of this after seeing the trailer. i still pick up the book from time to time and just read random pages, cormac mccarthy's writing is just so awesome. but part of the reason i loved the book is because it's never really explained what caused the world to turn to shit. i hope they don't tack on some b.s. political, or worse, environmental cause.
plus his wife is in the book for like five seconds, i hope the trailer is just trying to sell the movie on the fact that charlize theron is in it. also, blood meridian is 500 thousand times better than anything ever written.

A friend of mine has this and let me listen (I do not have a copy, don't ask) and this shit is off the hook great. Seriously, if Red Scare can promote them as much as Go-Kart didn't this 7" will be one of the most popular albums on the org this year. I can't imagine what these kids will be able to do as they get older.

Yeah, they're a super duper promising young band. I was beside myself when I first heard these songs. And by the way, the EP has been released already on iTunes, Amazon, etc. So it's not like this "friend" of your has an advanced copy or anything. They'll have the 7" on sale by the time they get out West.
