See, I completely disagree with that statement. If they left off with We're Not Happy Till You're Not Happy I could see why someone would say that. But Monkeys for Nothin' was a solid album. The closest thing to Why Do the Rock So Hard? And Fame, Fortune, & Fornication was a great cover album. The only thing horrible about was the cover art.

There's only so much that can be done while being ska; I think there's more things you can do while having hardcore tendencies. Upstrokes get so old, but aggression and double time is a much more diverse base.

Now, I only find myself listening to traditional ska like the bands you mentioned. But when I was in high school I listened to a lot of the punk stuff and a lot of it is really good for what it is. The Bosstones, Slapstick, Op Ivy, and the Suicide Machine's all to very good aggressive ska/punk.

And I don't think people generally consider Sublime to be ska, and Pepper was definately never considered to be ska.

The sad thing about the show is how much shit the network went through with it on picking up and etc. There's a moment on the Family Guy episode of "South Park" where they make a joke about it, and they love Mike Judge.
