Tours: Jason Collett to support the Weakerthans US West Coast tour

Arts and Crafts artist Jason Collett will support the Weakerthans on their upcoming US west coast tour. Jason will be performing solo at the shows and previewing a number of songs from his upcoming full length. The Toronto based musician released Here's to Being Here in 2008 to much critical acclaim.

Prior to the US tour Collett will play the a trio of special shows in his hometown. Wednesday the 10th he'll be part of "The Canadian Songbook: A Tribute to Neil Young's Live at Massey Hall," which is part of the Luminato Festival. On the 17th he'll play an Arts & Crafts NXNE showcase with Apostle Of Hustle, The Happiness Project and Years. A CBC Radio showcase follows on the 20th at the Horseshoe Tavern. The Weakerthans dates kick off on July 18th in Seattle.

Steven Gerrard believes the experience Liverpool have gained from being involved in the title race will boost their challenge for the Barclays Premier League crown next season.
The Reds pushed Manchester United all the way in the quest for the trophy, with Rafa Benitez's men mounting their best Championship tilt since 1990.

Although Alex Ferguson's side clinched the title with a goalless draw against Arsenal on Saturday, Liverpool not only completed a league double over the eventual champions, but also lost fewer games and scored more goals than the Old Trafford club.

With this in mind, Gerrard feels the positives that can be derived from this campaign will serve to fuel the Reds players' belief they can go one better next time around.

that Neil Young tribute at Massey Hall should be pretty cool, but nothing will beat when I saw Neil Young himself at Massey Hall...goddamn that was phenomenal...had the worst seats in the house...they said obstructed view and they MEANT it...but then after Peggi Young finished the opening set and usher came over to us and told us we were moving to the FLOOR! 11th row, dead centre for BOTH of Neil's sets...amazing.
