Pissed Jeans announce “King of Jeans”

Allentown, PA-based Pissed Jeans have announced their second full length for Sub Pop Records. The record is titled King of Jeans and is due out August 18, 2009. It is the follow-up to Hope for Men which was released in 2007.

The album was recorded with Alex Newport (At the Drive-In, The Locust, Sepultura).

Pitchfork posted an MP3 of the first song and it fucking rules. I have no idea why I didn't love these guys immediately when I first heard them.

It took me a few tries to get into this band, but once I got it, it was like boom. Kinda like Lungfish. At first yr just like *WTF?* but then it hits you and yr hooked.

holy shit the new song is even better! 'Hope for Men' was my favorite record of 2007, but this song has better production and is even more aggressive....I smell one hell of a fucking punk rock record coming.

Hope for Men was fucking awesome.

These guys were the hardcore band that all the hipsters loved after The Bronx and before Fucked Up. That being said the three bands should tour together.
