Green Day has posted the new video for their track, "21 Guns." The video was directed by Marc Webb, who is making his feature film directorial debut in July with (500) Days of Summer. The song comes from 21st Century Breakdown.

Live, he only sings "guns" like he does on record twice. At the end. Pussy. 2+ Replies

I haven't clicked the video yet, but who's that sad looking, old lesbian in it? 6+ Replies

i can only assume that's CGI stubble, to infer to the hopeless viewers that Billie Joe can actually grow facial hair 3+ Replies

I couldn't make it a minute in. As soon as he went high on that "guns" I turned it off. Tre Cool looks like the most awkward person with makeup on. I can't tell if he is trying to smile or not.

It's a nice song. One of Armstrong's best recorded vocal performances. Including the falsetto. Reminds me of Ben Gibbard there. 1+ Reply

The only thing I've ever heard from this record is "Know Your Enemy" when they played it live on Colbert. I deem that a rousing success [my not hearing any of it, not the song, which was unbearable]. Fuck this band.
Oldpunkerforever (June 22, 2009)
this song is bad, and so is the whole cd, ugh, what a disapointment-oldpunker-

Man, these guys are a fucking joke. Seriously, who the hell told them that make-up would be a "fresh", "hip", or "cool" idea? I mean, I got over it after American Idiot but seeing Green Day in the spotlight again looking like they do is just plain sad.

Am I a hypocrite for unconditionally despising these guys but enjoying Pinhead Gunpowder? God I hope not. 4+ Replies

Does anybody remember like 4 months ago when I called how many songs on this album would have the t-pain effect? 2+ Replies
bongsmcj (June 22, 2009)
naturally the two worst songs on the album would be the singles... 5-6 of those other songs are actually pretty okay.. and 'peacemaker' is just about the best song i've heard in the last month...

Terrible in a completely different way, yet, still, worse than the new Rancid video.

The chorus is totally ripped off from the Beatles "Here, There and Everywhere" 4+ Replies

The reason I got into this band in the first place was because they were ugly, zitty dudes acting like maniacs. They're THIS now? Can't dig shit that clearly exists just to make 8th grade girls swoon.
consider_the_ravens (June 22, 2009)
the song actually isnt bad although the rest of the album is crap. billie joe looks like a lesbien

First they rip off GR's band name for a single, and now they're covering their songs?!? I think Russ should sue.
Crashtester (June 22, 2009)
Jesus christ, I thought every band out there have figured out that the whole makeup/eyeliner thing is over and was never cool in the first place. Green day should do a tour with Aiden just to try to force this look down tween's throats. Billie Joe even sounds like a girl on this song.
ImTheAL (June 23, 2009)
Seriously...wtf happened to this band? I'm actually glad I can come here and see semi-sane people who recognize the tailspin in which green day is trapped. Go anywhere else (youtube/myspace/facebook/AP/twitter) and it's nothing but 16-year old idiots defending them and blindly snarling at anyone who talks negatively about them.
joshcore (June 24, 2009)
OK, OK, we all knew this would be the next single. Let's move on to the next one now: Song of the Century/21st Century Breakdown? East Jesus Nowhere? The Static Age? I wish it was Peacemaker, but I'd also hoped that Scattered would be a single and that never panned out. 1+ Reply

That's a sad panda.
I don't ever want to hear anything from this record ever again.
