Videos: Brand New: "Gasoline" (live)

A live video of Brand New playing a new song, "Gasoline," has surfaced. The video is from their June 23rd show at London's Manchester Academy. The band is currently completing a UK tour with Moneen and Kevin Devine, with some U.S. underplay dates coming up.

The song comes from the band's long-gestating fourth full-length, which is now rumored for an August/September release. They last issued the acclaimed The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me in 2006.

I love that record. I hate their first record, and am somewhat indifferent to the Devil and God, but I listen to Deja Entendu about once a month.

I think most bayside is pretty bad but I'd be lying if I said the chorus (the verse sucks) to "No One Understands" wasn't really fucking catchy. It's their choice minor chord at that one part.

I've never heard Bayside outside of a Smoking Popes cover or two, so I listened to that song on YouTube and goddamn. Fuck me if that isn't the blandest, most generic bubblegum pop-punk in the world.

i will defend this band untill the day i die because they have the courage to let themselves grow musically rather than making the same shit over and over again.

seriously, sans the instrumental tracks which were admittedly insanely indulgent, devil and god was fucking incredible.

I thought the instrumentals were cool. Jesse said in an interview that he's' really into bands using lots of guitar noise to make chaotic music like Jesus and Mary Chain and Sonic Youth.
