Silversun Pickups, Black Lips, Gogol Bordello, Brand New, Pogues, All Time Low at Voodoo Music 2009

The full lineup has been announced for the 2009 Voodoo Music Experience. Among the dozens of bands confirmed for the event are All Time Low, Black Lips, Brand New, Down, Gogol Bordello, Jane's Addiction, Justice, Mates Of State, Meat Puppets, Q-Tip, Silversun Pickups, Suplecs, The Black Keys, The Cool Kids, The Flaming Lips, The Pogues and Ween.

Interesting fucking lineup, i can't believe KISS still plays music, I don't want to hear a 30 year old Paul Stanley talking about his love paints, let alone a 60 year old Paul Stanley.

So, my new roommate who I've mentioned listens to really, really, really bad radio metal/rock was blasting Shinedown in his truck today (with me in it!).

Fuck, it's so hard to not talk shit when I have to hear that crap. It almost physically hurts. I'm trying to be respectful and not just make fun of everything he likes, but damn it's really hard. I need someone like baldsteve to come hang out for a while... I bet he'd let the insults fly.

i live just outside new orleans but haven never gone because of the combination of no money/douchey reputation of the festival. they usually have at least some pretty good acts but every asshole in the state feels the need to go, write tragic blogs about it, and wear their identical voodoo shirts ALL FUCKING YEAR. i missed shudder to think last year though, and the pogues are playing this one...oh well. now if i can only get the cash to go the fest everything will be fine...
