Thrice to debut song in Guitar Hero: World Tour

Thrice will debut the first single from their forthcoming album, Beggars, exclusively in Guitar Hero: World Tour. The song will be part of the Vagrant Records three song pack which will also feature new music from Alexisonfire and Senses Fail.

Thrice is featuring "All The World Is Mad" which will be released on Beggars in October. Alexisonfire will include "Young Cardinals" from Old Crows / Young Cardinals released this year. Senses Fail rounds out the package with the song, "The Martyr" which is previously unreleased.

The pack is due out July 23rd.

I think it's a delightful self parody and revels in it's own madness with a penchant for sight gags and gleeful breaking of the 4th wall not unlike a Chuck Jones cartoon realized in decent looking puppetry and live actors.

I enjoyed it when it came out for not being a rehash of its perfect predecessor.

Its fun, Phoebe Cates is fun to look at.

Indeed Gremlins 1 is superior, but 2 is a fun romp, and yeah, Phoebe Cates, when she gives that speech about her dad dying as Santa Claus, it gets me going. I love me some damaged goods.

I'm way stoked that I get to hear a new Thrice song but that involves being around that game which I do not want to do. Dammit Thrice. Easily on the top 5 lamest things you've ever done.

i don't play guitar hero but i really feel like the game's relationship with the music is one of two things: either background noise for the true gamers who are very focused on the screen (you can play on mute pretty easily i think) -or- a fun way to "play" favorite/classic songs ...

using it as a venue for releasing music is kinda a transparent, sleazy way to cheapen the music and turn it strictly into a product, in my opinion

the movie's fucking raw too. if all you know about chow yun-fat is crouching tiger hidden dragon and bulletproof monk, you gotta track down Full Contact (or pretty much any action movie before he came to hollywood) and see him in his glory days.
