Yep Roc has announced a new album from Reverend Horton Heat. The record is their first (non-holiday) album since 2004's Revival and is described as the "'billy' side of rockabilly," with more influence from mid-20th century country music.

Like most of the recent albums from the Rev, it'll have two great songs and three okay songs rounded out by filler.

Liquor in the Front and Full Custom Gospel Sounds were both great...then they seemed to dick with their sound (keyboards, lounge, etc) and I haven't liked much since then. Hopefully this will be a return to their earlier stuff...but how often does that actually happen. |
