Canada's Billy Talent have joined Roadrunner Records for the US release of their new album, III. The record will be made available in the United States on September 22, 2009 having been released in their native Canada earlier in July.
Prior to the full length, the band will release a new, digital EP, Rusted From the Rain, on July 28, 2009. The EP will feature four songs and be available via all digital retailers. The band is currently on the road with Rise Against and Rancid. Roadrunner Records (33 comments)

TORRES AND CARRA SHAKE SINGAPORE
Singapore was treated to a double dose of Anfield magic this morning when Fernando Torres and Jamie Carragher sparked scenes of mass hysteria among their devoted supporters. Fans had camped out for hours to get the best views of their Liverpool idols, both of whom were in town to attend a special event organised by Carlsberg. It was a day of many commercial activities for the Reds on the second leg of their far east tour, and those supporters at the Velocity Centre probably couldn't believe their luck when they were presented with two of Liverpool's most famous stars. I know that Billy Talent tried for a few years to get an indie label but no one was interested so they finally gave in and went to a major label. I dunno, to me it makes it understandable. 2+ Replies

Gerrard admitted hitting Marcus McGee, 34, in a Southport bar last December and a jury at the city's Crown Court accepted his explanation that it was in self-defence.
The 29-year-old was the only one of seven defendants to be cleared over what the judge described as an "explosion of violence" at the Lounge Inn during which McGee lost a tooth and suffered facial cuts.
The trial heard that Gerrard was at the Lounge Inn in Southport, Merseyside, on 29th December to celebrate Liverpool's 5-1 demolition of Newcastle United hours earlier.
The Reds' captain, who scored twice in the game, was enjoying a night out with a party of friends including Anfield legend Kenny Dalglish, 58.
