Dave Hause (Revival Tour 2009)

The bill and some dates have been announced for the 2009 edition of the Revival Tour. This year, the tour will feature Chuck Ragan (Hot Water Music), Jim Ward (At The Drive-In, Sleepercar, Sparta), Tim Barry (Avail), Dave Hause (The Loved Ones) and others.

Last year's tour featured Chuck and Tim as well as Ben Nichols of Lucero and Tom Gabel of Against Me!. Only a few dates have been announced so far. You can click Read More for those.

If that's the case then The Weakerthans should be added any day now.

Not that I dislike The Weakerthans... but the only time I've seen them was probably the absolute most boring show I've ever been to.

kevin's stuff is more lo-fi indie acoustic stuff. too much drum machine beats for my taste. he's definitely not trying to play up any of the country or americana angles.

I've only heard a solo song or two and wasn't too into it. I have heard rumblings that Kevin singing with The Bomb on a couple covers is a confirmed thing though.

Hahah, sounds like a plan. My futon's always open buddy, and my supply of cheap whiskey literally never runs out. Right now there's about 1/3 of a handle of Black Velvet there, and despite being on the expensive end at $15, it's probably the second worst.

Frank Turner is listed third on the website. Let's hope he's on a lot of this thing.

Also Jon Snodgrass, Chad Price and Joey Cape are listed. I'd much rather seem them than Jim Ward or Dave Hause.

Wow, last year was significantly better. Ben Nichols was great, and Frank Turner was probably the best at the show I attended (at The Black Cat in DC). I haven't heard any of Jim Ward's solo stuff, but his style doesn't really strike me as fitting in at all with this type of show.
