i unfortunately live in the same town as a KKK grand wizard (there was a big shitstorm a couple years back about the KKK holding a meeting at my public library. it was big news here) and the home to a klan meeting place with a lot of history. theres about a mile drive into a gravel road in a wooded area. then there is about a 2 mile walk. it can be a little unsettling, expecially without a flashlight. we got to the end of the driving part but, we saw some sketchy looking duder sitting in his truck in the dark. we didnt get out but, we turned the car off. we saw what we thought were fire flies ahead of us. the blue lights grew larger ( a lot larger than a bug would be)as they got closer. i dont know what they were but, we thought they were flashlights at the time.

we went to some other supposedly haunted places and saw nothing, though.

Went to the Sounders game, tired as fuck cuz it's hot and I'm lazy and probably going to drink my last and only Newcastle and maybe watch some Flight of the Conchords, maybe play some Resident Evil 5 which is ok, I dunno, maybe some sex, we'll see if there's time.

For the most part, the people I have kidded in such a way are those I know will take it like champs. Most of it is usually reserved for 14theroad anyway (killing him, feeding him to wolves, etc.). I have more "enemies" on here than most people and I get shit all the time. And I've been paying attention lately. People just can't let anything go. Well, I haven't been orgtastically conscious lately, all I remember is the Gimper making a mistake and they all got on his nuts. After the presidential election, I commented on here that I didn't vote, and that instead, I abstained. I tried to make the argument that abstaining is a valid form of voting.

People flipped the fuck out and tore me a new asshole. Most of the comments were just people insulting me. I was literally the only person arguing my side.

But I didn't think that any of them hated me, and I didn't take any of it personal. And by now, all of that shit is irrelevant.

My point? People on here argue and speak their mind. THat doesn't mean they hate anyone or are trying to give anyone shit. It's just that everyone on here likes to say what they feel. No more, no less. I really don't think people fucking hate you. I hope you don't stop posting. I always like your posts.

It is the second-best movie of the year after The Brothers Bloom. And that's a fact.

I too Garden State/Juno vide from the 500 Days of Summer trailer as well but I saw it and man, it's really good. Joseph Gordon Levitt is great in it (go out and rent Brick and The Lookout immediately if you haven't seen them!) and the non-linear storytelling not unlike the Jeffrey Brown comic "Clumsy" made it much more interesting.

Well, the hicks are bad. The ex actually hangs out with all of them a lot, and I'm 99% sure they're all inbred. She actually left me for one of them, so there's that. I mean, we're civil towards each other an everything, but we're not friends.

The Indecision Alarm is aiming for a Satanic Surfers (Swedish melodic hardcore) sound, meaning they're a bit different from my 'favourite' subgenre of punk rock. But at times they do sound like a potential cross-over into HWM-esque territory for sure.

Dark City is awesome. The 6th Sense was good to see once. Signs I didn't dislike at the time but never want to watch it again. And The Day After Tomorrow is sickening.

I was more excited about this movie when you said it was only like Dark City. Either way, I'm gonna check it out.

This was the same problem with the new TMNT movie, except that it needed 30 more minutes: 15 for character development and 15 for plot (or more for both). Also the same with Watchmen, which needed at least an hour more, split between character development, suspense building, and just letting the scenes play out naturally rather than rushing them.

I actually don't remember if I ending up seeing that movie or not. =|

its a long story but whatever. i used to be really into this girl, like for an entire semester at college. well, she always used the i just want to be friends excuse. but we would literally be together 23 hours a day, and it just confused the shit out of me, so i started doing lots and lots of drugs. i dropped out of school cause i couldn't deal with the bullshit anymore, and since then i have gotten off of drugs and found out what i really want from life. she was whining cause we don't talk as much as we used too, so i told her that i don't talk to her that much because she really fucked me up, and she played dumb about it, so i told her to fuck herself. i haven't gotten a reaction yet, but usually when someone says something she doesnt want to hear she pretends it never was said. god, looking back at it i was such a dumbass, but hey, you live and learn.

i got the chance to hang out and talk to them the other night. they had a van breakdown at the start of the tour, but are still trucking through it. they're all great guys, and really appreciative of what they get to. i got the 7 and the full length for 11 bucks, i wish i could have given them more.

All of my friends left. But yes the beer is 3.2 at gas stations, You can go to a liquor store (which closes at 9PM) and by liquor and 6 point beer. Which I did earlier so I could drink PBR. So I was pretty drunk when I got to the bar and my friends like to buy me shots.

Eh... They're o.k. The vocals remind me a lot of BVS with their way of traveling between gruff and clean vocals. Unfortunately, they lack basically everything that I love about PBC. I love post-hardcore, but the newer bands who play it have to really stand out and sound less like trend hoppers... the latter is what they sound like to me. It's still good and it's a better trend than the four year strong thing, it just has no umph.

Yeah... it's sad really. And that doesn't even count the plays in my CD player. For instance, "Fluent In Stroll" is my 2nd favorite album this year and I'm still taking it out and putting Scrambles in.

"The Gimper" was a name I came up with an 10th grade. My first ska band that I fell in love with was a local band. I went on there to request them to play my favorite song. But I didn't want anyone to know it was me so that's what I came up with. The problem was, I was so shy I use to be afraid to go to their shows.

DO NOT MAKE ANY SKA REFERENCES UNLESS YOU'RE WATCHING LTJ, FLATLINERS, AND/OR BTMI! AND YOU'LL BE FINE!! also, DO NOT WEAR ANY T-SHIRTS THAT HAVE SKA BANDS AND SKA REFERENCES OR AN EMO SUCKS T-SHIRT!! If you do that, you'll live another day. Trust me! I'm the "skaman".

I don't use iTunes, to switch to it would mean days of file conversion. The song's alright and I can't mentally cope with not having/hearing/listening to a song by a band I like, I need the full album experience. I just don't want it to END with that song, that cheesy fadeout and shit... totally anti-climactic.

I don't think there's one comment for this. There's just 660 comments about unrelated things.

I think it was the Gaslight Anthem forum where some of the people were soooo lame. They were all talking about bands almost as popular as Hot Water Music like they were some brand new, secret rare find.

Any forum named after one band is bound to suck, even if they have a place to discuss other bands.
