The Decemberists have added more dates to their ongoing tour in support of The Hazards of Love. The band will be on the road with Heartless Bastards and Laura Veirs & the Hall of Flames.

Who (besides Gaslight) is worth paying $170 to go see.

Well, I like a lot of the bands playing actually. Most are probably hated on here, but i could give a fuck less. Stoked for Tool, Gaslight, Ben Harper, Band of Horses, Ben Folds, Silversun Pickups, Atmosphere, Dan Aurbach, Cold War Kids, Manchester Orchestra, Constantines, Langhorne Slim, Decemberists, Snoop Dogg, (yes, Snoop Dogg), Animal Collective...and more. I just like music festivals, all my friends are going..and I enjoy getting all sorts of fucked up and listening to music all day. It's obviously not for everyone, but it is for me.

I'm not a fan of Tool, Snoop Dogg, Silversun Pickups (new album is just too much) or Animal Collective (friend's their biggest fan, dragged me to their show, not impressed) but otherwise that is a respectable list. Have fun.

The Crane Wife is one of my all time favourite albums. However, despite liking the album, the new album has somehow ruined the band for me. The story is a little too ridiculous for me, and Colin should have practice writing stoner metal a little more before indulging this much in it. The music's fine and all, but it has no longevity. For some reason, it's putting a huge black spot on their hole catalog. I can't explain it.
