The Sandwiches, a band spawned from the depths of the Punknews comment sections, will premiere a new song tonight on the What We Hate podcast. The track "But Would Holy_Balls Do Her?" will be available with the podcast, which goes online tonight at 8:00 PM EST.
The song will appear on the band's upcoming EP Hitting Refresh to Drop Witty Comments, which is due out on August 18th. The six-song release features art by Daniel Ehrlich and will see a digital release via Death to False Hope Records. A physical release is expected to follow on a yet to be determined label.

Man.. Stop assuming. I'm in numberous "bands" that are full of weird and elaborate combinations and I actually make a point out of never being a standard guitar/drums/bass combo because it's already been done way, way, way better than I could ever do it by tens of thousands of bands in all kinds of imaginable genres and sub-genres. I build my own instruments, spend hours and hours and hours on end without sleep to do something that I can live with presenting, so don't say I'm close minded when it comes to the definition of a "band". Why I give a fuck to say something? Maybe my comments were just a comment on the fact that everyone constantly shit on hard-working bands, so why shouldn't it apply to this band, who've never toured and only recorded a handful of songs between 2 people? You don't need to defend yourself or the things you do. I was referring to a comment you made, not the person you are. One band can't be any more of a "band" than another, no matter how more original, unique or hard-working they are, or how many instruments they build. They can be better and more worthwhile, sure, but a band is a band and you can't draw lines. I understand your comment in regards to them being posted here only because their songs are made of memes, but that's not at all what I was confused about. I was confused about how you said they're not a "real band".

Well I just read his last post and apparently he IS still saying they don't fit his definition of a band. Okay, that's fine, I know where' you're coming from, you think a band is more than a group of people that have put out some songs. But I don't see why it matters or what the big deal is; you don't need to go into an article about a "musical project" that people are excited about and badmouth them. I don't really like The Sandwiches' music that much, but I respect that they're making a creative effort and enjoying themselves.

I agree that if they are only going to post a limited number of bands' news, they should assess the value of that news and choose the best fit. I just disagree with what you think makes a band the best fit. I think it is the band that more readers will want to hear about, while you think it is the one with more creative ability and 'actual bandness'. That's where we disagree. See ya around.

Tribute to Nothing is the band. I have their 3 latest albums, which I assume are their best, and a split they did before them. I am just really curious to hear what their other ~5 records sound like, but not curious enough to risk $50. $25 would be... fine... though.

It might be, it basically just means I feel like I've been ripped off in life. As in I grew up in a family that only provided the same 3-meal rotation my whole life. And I'm just whining and complaining about that.
