Media: Baroness: "Bullhead's Psalm," "The Sweetest Curse"

Baroness have premiered the first two cuts from their upcoming effort, Blue Record. You can check out the album's intro track "Bullhead's Psalm," and its follower, "The Sweetest Curse," at the band's MySpace page.

Blue Record is due out on Relapse October 13.

somebody told me that song was about his differences with the other memebers of No Cash and how it was a bad break up. But after reading the lyrics, there is really nothing related to that.

Chris is a really smart guy who writes some amazing music. hes just not the nicest dude. but whatever, you cant expect all of your favorite artists to be your friend.

Yeah, I try not to hold it against an artist if he's an asshole. I'm under the impression that Chris is an asshole, but I just don't care.

What I do mind is when an artist is a douche bag. Big difference. Ben Weasel is an asshole. Fat Mike can be an asshole. All of that is fine by me. I can't think of any douches off the top of my head, but tough guy meatheads in hxc bands are the type of guys I'm talking about.

Reversal of Man is more "violencey" like Orchid. La Quiete is so dynamic. You might want to check out Pyramids too http://www.punknews.org/review/5238 they're pretty fucking dynamic and melodic (in that screamo way) too. And if you haven't heard Off Minor, Saetia, and all the other Hot Cross pre-bands, you should check them out.

Oh, there's this new band called Pianos Become the Teeth. They're bringing back some real screamo with some post hardcorey moments. They were so good live.

I guess if you should just start with the Level Plane Gravity Records discography and maybe some other smaller labels like slave union.
