Chris Rest (Lagwagon, RKL) joins No Use For A Name

Chris Rest of Lagwagon and King City (formerly of RKL) is now part of the No Use For A Name roster. He replaces guitarist Dave Nassie, who recently left the band to play for Bleeding Through. No Use For A Name last released The Feel Good Record of the Year in 2008.

My heart started racing when I saw Lagwagon and NUFAN in the same title. Guitarist in my favorite band goes to one of my other favorite bands. Sweet. and for the record, I thought The Feel Good Record of the Year was fanfuckingtastic minus The Trumpet Player.

Pretty natural move..... I always see Chris hanging out in SF, and he's a pretty laid back guy, and never seems too busy, so it's about time he got off his ass!

I still can't get over how Dave left for Bleeding Through..... it's like if the bartender from The Hemlock left to go work as a bartender at Chili's and calling it a very strategic career move

NOFX and Bad Religion? Thing is, those bands are still relevant to some extent, which makes sense since they pioneered that style (and didn't put out the same record over and over).

No, completely different every time. Coaster was a departure like nothing I've ever heard before.

Also, I've been listening to The Crowd, The Skulls and Government Warning all morning. I should probably stop though. They're certainly not relevant.

Coaster? A departure? I dunno man, seemed to me like they were just rewriting old songs. I can't really even stand NOFX anymore (or Fat Mike). I'd rather just listen to Full Circle to get my skate punk fix.
