Fenix TX formed in 1995 in Houston as Riverfenix. The band's 1997 Drive Thru released debut caught the attention of Blink-182's Mark Hoppus, who managed the band up through the release of Blink's breakthrough Enema of the State. The bands continued to tour together and share management, exposing Fenix TX to much of Blink's then burgeoning audience and landing them at MCA. The group split up due to personal differences in 2002, although several reunions have taken place since.

Long dormant San Diego pop punk band Fenix TX is set to hit the studio soon. In an announcement posted online earlier this month, the band revealed that their original line up of Donnie Reyes, Adam Lewis, Will Salazar and Damon DeLaPaz would hit the studio this September. A new full length is expected in 2010.

so weird. this band's first record was great, you know, in 10th grade. i mean that whole late 90s drive thru pop punk was overall mostly fun. but how they can imagine this will be successful is beyond me.

This should be under the news section, "Shit no one cares about because only 14 year old's would like this band and they were 7 when the band broke up".

If they tour I'm going to get as drunk as a 15 year old and pogo my arse off, bring on the cheap cider!

Because they're making minimum wage. They just can't survive this day and age.

When they were on tour in germany with RX Bandits and the Bandits totally stole the show they played what I remember as one of the worst performances of my life ... everyone just wanted this band to stop playing and RX Bandits to come back for some more songs ... singer acted liek a real asshole on stage that evening ... no care for this reunion ...
