Videos: Mariachi el Bronx: "Cell Mates"

Mariachi el Bronx, the mariachi-styled side project from hardcore/rock act The Bronx, have posted their new video for "Cell Mates." The album comes from their upcoming self-titled debut. The album is due out September 1, 2009.

see, i have the same problem. i've always liked mariachi music but have no reference as to which is the good kind, so i only really get to hear it when i go to certain mexican restaurants. i was very glad to finally get this, cause it's amazing. it's all i've listened to since July.

have you ever checked out Devotchka - kind of more of a gypsy feel to it (ala Gogol Bordello) but also a bit of Mariachi to it.

it always bothers me in music videos when the band is playing instruments and the singer isn't using a microphone.

typing with a bandaid on your index finger is difficult.

I didn't check this album out until now and it is surprisingly awesome, I figured it was gonna be some dome gimmick thing. It's got a really chill vibe to it this'll definitely be in rotation a while

Nicely done....I feel like I'm at Guadalajara Grill or La Fuente, where they use Mariachis to elicit a happy vibe and inadequate tips. Not bad for the Bronx.
