Media: Baroness: "A Horse Called Golgotha"

Baroness have posted another new song. You can scope "A Horse Called Golgotha" at their MySpace page.

The record it's culled from is titled Blue Record and is due out October 13.

The band will be appearing on Australia's touring festival, Soundwave.

Not a huge fan of them, but their artwork is consistently awesome. Created by the singer I believe. I'll check this record out once I can listen to the entire thing.

UNC Chapel Hill, NC State, University of Maryland, and George Washington.

I don't even know why I'm applying for those last two. I have no intentions of going out of state.

I would say get out of town.
Why do you have to go to college now?
Get a job, work for a year, travel for about 6 months; see the world, come back, and then decide what you want to do.

Well, I'd like to go to college, so that's why I'm applying. I'm not complaining about going to college (I'm actually looking forward to it quite a bit), it's just that applying for it is such a pain.

The Spits new long player is very nice. All their other album's got 9 songs, though. The perfect number and 7 if it's hardcore.

I like this band, I hope this album is a little grittier than the last one. They're decent musicians, but the super-clean production on 'Red' makes every weak part glaring.

Compared to the first three eps, this album sucks. So did the Red album. They're trying to be Neurosis and failing. Stick to your shit! I guess losing a founding member had a profound effect. An effect of me giving up these guys.
