Ignite vocalist Zoli Teglas has been tapped to temporarily fill the vacant position in Pennywise. Teglas will be taking the place of longtime Pennywise singer Jim Lindberg who departed in August 2009. As of right now, the vocalist has only been confirmed for the two day Smokeout Festival set for October 23 and 24 and also set to include Slipknot, Deftones, Cypress Hill, Kottonmouth Kings, Bad Brains, Method Man/Red Man and a recently reunited Sublime.

i have to agree with david cross that pot culture is one of the stupidest, most juvenile things ever conceived by man.

Ignite remind me of so much radio rock bullshit. And it makes me sad because they're down with some cool stuff.
TheOneTrueBill (September 2, 2009)
Great, I've always wondered what Pennywise would sound like fronted by Ronnie James Dio.
AlChron77 (September 2, 2009)
Mark my words, this is their new singer. It might start out temporary but it will become permanent soon.

Hmmm... Zoli sleeps around a bit - he filled in for vocals after Graves left the Misfits...

I don't know...it kind of makes sense.
deadXlast (September 2, 2009)
Fuck this, Ignite is a millions time better than Pennywise. Zoli has one of the greatest voices ever and he's wasting his talent.
Banal242 (September 2, 2009)
Should just get Brad Nowell to do it.
psychosis_cheer (September 2, 2009)
When I said it would be easy to replace him........wow i was wrong......
ItsAgiftAndAcurse (September 2, 2009)
Oh my god this is exactly who I wanted them to pick!! Zoli Teglas is an amazing singer! They must have listened to my advice haha.
DrewXFishy (September 2, 2009)
wow i was not expecting this
Hayman (September 2, 2009)
This is some good news. Zoli can really belt out a tune. Would be great to see this line up in Australia.
Hayman (September 2, 2009)
Would also be good to hear a new Ignite record sometime soon. It's always a long stretch between albums which sucks a bit.
jazzyfella08 (September 2, 2009)
I seriously think they need to drop Pennywise.
cpp_ (September 2, 2009)
This is a fucking brilliant idea, I was litterally stumped on who they would pick and who would actually work, and if you think about it, it might be cool. I think if you think hard on it and they focussed more on s/t to full cirlce material it could be awesome. Even though most of you are trashing this idea, I for one would love to see this.
punk_rawk_show (September 2, 2009)
I think i just came.
bytheslice (September 3, 2009)
This actually might work. Ignite still rules. Pennywise reminds me of high school and 90's Cali pop-punk. Hopefully this will work out.
punker001 (September 3, 2009)
This guy does have an amazing voice, am very interested to hear this. I still think the singer from the uprising would be good too.
scully (September 3, 2009)
This just got interesting. Ignite only releases records every 5 years so... |

Bwah?
Someone should record this. Might be cool to hear old Pennywise songs with Zoli singing.
