Saves the Day announces tracklisting for "Daybreak"

Saves The Day front man Chris Conley recently sent an update via the Saves the Day mailing list with the track listing to the upcoming full-length, Daybreak. The record is the third part of the trilogy following 2006's Sound the Alarm and 2007's Under the Boards.

The band also recently left an update via Twitter, reading:

Daybreak is nearly wrapped up. Hoping to have some cool updates soon, so hang tight. However, these rough mixes sound fantastic.

I liked it, too. In fact, it's my second favorite STD album (after Stay What You Are).

Yeah. I thought it was way underrated. The perspective of the album is told from someone who is crazy, but has no idea he's crazy. It's so psychopathic.

I bought the last album for two reasons:

- 3 or so songs were pretty good
- It was only $7 on sale

I'm one of the few people who thinks they hit their peak at In Reverie but took a huge step backward after that. I don't understand how Chris' voice could sound more mature and less whiny during SWYA than Sound the Alarm.

you are right. in reverie was/is one of my favorites and everything before it. sound the alarm was good music wise...his voice sucks now. new album will not be good...maybe..

I'm really excited for this. Hoping they scale back the punk from the last couple of records and turn back to the poppier side of Stay What You Are and In Reverie. Doubt that will happen though. A third album in this same style would be really boring though.

I sitll love Can't Slow Down and Through Being Cool, but Conley's voice nowadays is nails on a chalkboard. It's absolutely grating.

Cannot. Agree. More.

Part of the problem is that his singing has gotten shittier. The other part is that, for some unknown reason, they started mixing his voice higher on later records. And his voice ain't that good.

Through Being Cool is so good, I still listen to it. Can't Slow Down was also good, but not as good as TBC. They did pop punk the best whenever I was in highschool, along with Audio Karate. Space Camp is just so catchy, last I heard they got back together and are working on a new album. Can't wait for that one, as for this.............Eh, just not the same

DUDE. This is the worst part about new STD. His voice is unbearable. WTF is he doing!? Has he ever been asked this in an interview?

I heard him talk about his voice on "In Reviere" and he described it as "Very weird and in a register that's just a bit uncomfortable to listen to"..

I haven't gotten around to Under the Boards yet, but Sound the Alarm had some good tunes on it. Also, I hated, and i mean HATED In Reverie the first year I had it, and it very slowly grew on me and now I dig it.

Love every album this band makes... of course it was disappointing at first to hear the voice change but w.e.... They said this one is going to have more of an In Reviere feel.... HELL YEA!!
