Burning Empires (members of Misery Signals/Fall Out Boy) set to record

Hardcore act Burning Empires, which features Stuart Ross, Kyle Johnson and Ryan Morgan of Misery Signals, Andy Hurley from Fall Out Boy and vocalist Matt Mixon, have posted a new song from their forthcoming 7-inch. The track, "Disavowel," is on their MySpace page.

The Milwaukee-based hardcore band is set to hit the studio his November with Mike Schleibaum (of Darkest Hour) engineering/producing the effort.

When is All Time Low going to start bringing us Metal? Cuz, when I think Fall Out Boy, oh yeah, I think genuine HC members which would form a meaningful band.... At least The Sandwiches will never run out of material....

As much as I hate Fall Out Boy, this is a pretty dumb comment to make, before they banded together to make their supercrap, they were legitimately into the hardcore scene, Wentz and Andy Hurley in particular. They were in bands like Arma Angelus and Racetraitor, who were both way heavier than even this band.

Yep. Both dudes are still into hardcore, as well. Granted, it doesn't show in FOB, but they're definitely into it.

If you want I can give you my bitter running commentary throughout the rest of the game. It'll mostly consist of me making fun of Michael Cuddyer, Delmon Young, Brandon Inge, and Orlando Cabrara, though.

Right now it's 1-1 top of the 6th. Blackburn hit the leadoff man in the second and Cuddyer misplayed a fairly tough line-drive that woulda been an inning ending double play. And the Twins scored by moving Tolbert around after a leadoff double. Blackburn has been behind in the count a ton, but getting away with it.

I have the under 9, so I'm feeling confident. Nothing like making money while at home eating cheetos at 10:30 in the mornin'.

Zach Miner is coming in with 2 on 1 out for the Twins. Miner is terrible. Multiple runs coming right up.

I just googled "HoCo". The first result was from urban dictionary. The first sentence in the definition was "The epitome of all that is good and just in America." I feel complemented.

Holy Shit! Nick Punto just botched a suicide squeeze. If he gets it down the twins lead going into the bottom of the 9th. Instead he popped it up to the pitcher for an inning ending DP. If I was a Twins fan I'd be calling Punto a similar name. With a C at the beginning.

I don't know if you're still paying attention or got the radio broadcast, but this was a pretty epic game. Twins score 2 in the 10th due to wildness (back to back wild pitches!) and a sacrifice.

Then horselips Nathan gave up a leadoff HR to Granderson in the bottom of the 10th, Gomez made a great catch for the first out, the tigers hit a bullet to left and then grounded out to end the game. 3-2 twins. Great f'in game.
