1208 reunite for a show with TSOL

Former Epitaph Records melodic hardcore act 1208 have announced a one-off reunion performance to support T.S.O.L. for a bill at Brixton South Bay.

1208 will be performing with most of their original lineup, except Deviates drummer Donald Conrad will be filling in for original drummer Manny McNamara.

both 1208 and deviates had some good songs and played some fun shows. there was a time where i bought anything on epitaph, and these guys were around as that time expired. so i have "feedback is payback," which is still okay once in a long while.

that album had cover art by raymond pettibon, which is always a plus. is horsebites/richard minino our generation's version of pettibon? i guess not, but i like him too.

Yeah right about the time the whole Pennywise-lite crew hit Epitaph is when the end began. Wasn't 98 Mute on Epitaph at one point too?

1208 was interesting for a few minutes back in '04 or '05. They definitely sounded like a band heavily produced under the Epitaph "house style" that's pretty much guaranteed that every Epitaph album released since 2002-ish has a very flat production sound.

I may have to rummage through some boxed up old stuff and find my copy of 'Turn of the Screw.' Maybe it'll sound better 5 years after the fact?

Im pretty damn excited. feedback is payback is one of my favorite albums. Deviates, 1208, and Cigar was basically all I listened to 5 years ago.

the devon williams dude started a band called finger cut megamachine or something and now just plays solo. But yeah Idle Will Kill is also one of my favorites. The Devon Williams guy does tour and stuff and the solo stuff aint shabby.
