Thomas of Strike Anywhere explains new album with album stream

Thomas Barnett of Strike Anywhere put together a detailed and annotated stream of the band's new album, Iron Front. Next to previews of each track from the band's Bridge Nine Records debut, Barnett gave detailed explanations of lyrics and themes.

Iron Front is due out October 6, 2009.

This album is actually excellent, and probably my favourite release of theirs since the "Chorus of One" EP. Great to see them back on form for sure.

This album is maybe the best thing they ever did. So addictive and it does the best job of all their records of melding all the different aspects that I love about this band.

I want more features like this, too. It was neat.

Reading all those descriptions of what the songs are about makes me want to buy the record. More bands should do this.

I'm kind of surprised about how many people are saying this is the best record they've done.
I listen to it, a lot, and after so many listens I only remember what 3 of the songs even sounded like.

Pretty forgettable.

So far- 5/10... their worst release.

Maybe when the album comes in the mail and I have the visuals and lyrics I'll grasp the stuff some more... but this is the first release from them that I'm not stoked on.

I wasn't putting him down. Thomas is probably the biggest inspiration for the way I live my life. It just amazes me that he's "broken the mold" of the typical high school drop out and has all these intelligent things to say. Really an awesome guy.

I may give this a listen although I have traditonally not liked them too much. I have their first two and liked them at first but now annoy the shit out of me.
