Anyone know anything about the Whitney House in Hartford?
My girlfriend lives there now for a job and she really wants to go see Nothington play there but is pretty shy and not good at meeting people. She's nervous about having to go by herself, just moved there and doesn't really know anyone. She's also 33, older than most of the people that are probably going to be there.

Just tell her to go. People at house/basement shows are much more likely to be friendly and non-assholish than those at bar shows, at lest in my experience. And plus, and maybe this is just here in Chicago, but 33 is a good median age for people going to shows like that.

Plus nothing beats BYOB.

Yeah, she's never been to a show there so I have no idea about the age range. She grew up in Chicago going to house shows so she has no problem with them. She's just not too into the scene thing anymore and just likes to go see good bands. I doubt she'll go but I hope she does.
She'll also be in Fort Collins for Thanksgiving and we're playing with Nothington here so she'll probably just go to that.

She will probably be hangin out with 19 year olds the rest of her life, she's a professor. But, she doesn't hang with people that don't drink. Not saying you dont', just saying.

When I went to a show at the Whitney house the people there were very nice and talked to me even though I am generally shy and quiet. The people seemed to generally be in the 20's so she would probably be older than most but I don't think that should be a problem. I'm hoping to be at this show if i can get to Hartford that night.

The Glass Door is in Brooklyn, NY. This is gonna be a great tour, even thought Title Fight's not playing anymore.
