From Ashes Rise reunite, plan new shows

After a five year hiatus, From Ashes Rise have announced a reunion performance at the Satyricon in Portland, OR on February 21, 2010. The band split up in 2005 and members went on to join Smoke Or Fire and others.

The band is currently streaming three live songs from their final 2005 West Coast tour. Check those out on their MySpace page.

Fan-fucking-tastic news. I love these guys so much and the only time I saw them I'd only heard Nightmares a handful of times and didn't full appreciate the set. Really, really want this to possibly be a tour or some one offs around the country. Imagine how huge a Tragedy/FAR US tour would be.

I think my mind would explode. As far as I'm concerned, Tragedy was the last band to ever be as legimitate "punk" since the 80s hardcore scene.
