I love it, but its a different sound than cuban ballerina or little brother.
some songs have that reggae- rock punch to it.
it works surprisingly well.

I still don't know about this album. I love the Con and This Business of Art, the middle two not so much... And this one is on par with those. But I've only listened through twice. It'll probably grow on me despite being so very 80s sounding.

Ive really never given them a chance but this song is pretty catchy.

I'm not saying they're *bad*, per se, and I know that their sexualities don't figure into their lyricism, but it's hard to separate the two...how can I NOT think about the superiority of everyone from Team Dresch to Bratmobile or even Le Tigre when I listen to their stuff? :/

In case I misread you, no, I'm not saying they're inferior because they DON'T integrate their sexual politics into their music, just because they're so bland in comparison with every band that set the stage for them twenty years ago, be them queer or straight. I listened to a *lot* of queercore/Riot grrrl back in the day, so that's what I base most of my comparisons on.
