The Mighty Mighty Bosstones detail "Pin Points and Gin Joints"

Some details have been announced regarding the highly anticipated new full-length from The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Pin Points and Gin Joints will be released on December 8, 2009 and will be the band's first proper studio album since 2002's A Jackknife To A Swan, and first release of any kind since the 2007 B-sides collection Medium Rare.

After going on hiatus in 2003, the band reunited four years later and has continued to tour off and on since.

AM are one of the most overrated bands in recent memory. Their songs aren't half as catchy as the Bosstones.

I disagree. I am not an AM fanboy, but Tom Gabel can write some pretty catchy tunes.

That said, comparing the Bosstones to AM is like comparing Reel Big Fish to Bad Brains. They are very different bands, which should be held on their own regard.

I am an Against Me! fanboy, so I'm totally biased, but Gabel can write stuff that'll stick in my head for days. How can you say something like "Don't Lose Touch" isn't catchy? I have nothing against The Bosstones, they're good at what they do. Just not my style.

I really don't find their shit memorable, at all. It's all sea shanty style shit. It's like you remember the rhythm of them and that's about it for me.

Here in AZ they are the size of medium dogs but I've lived here my whole life and I've never heard about anyone ever getting killed by coyotes. I find it odd that they are in Canada.

In Southern California coyotes are incredibly small, they look more like foxes with smaller tails. I see them walking on the hill outside my office window almost every day. Also, they seem to run from people. Lousy that she died that way.

Yes! Man I've been waiting for this since I saw them on Warped Tour in '02. When they got back together I assumed it was just for a tour, but when I heard about the full length I was beyond pumped. Gotta see what sites I can preorder from.
