Dashboard Confessional and New Found Glory Tour cancelled

The upcoming tour with Dashboard Confessional, New Found Glory, Meg and Dia, Never Shout Never and The Single File has been cancelled due to family reasons. Dashboard Confessional had the following statenent:

Due to a family situation that is beyond our control, we have to cancel our upcoming tour with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never, Meg & Dia and Single File (we are still playing with the Louisville Orchestra on November 7th). We don't take this lightly but family has to come first. As this is a last minute development, we are still figuring out what we will do- as soon as we know, you will know. We apologize to everyone who planned on coming to the shows. We will find a way to make it up to you.

The band's next album, Alter the Ending is due out November 10, 2009.

Yesterday my friend told me that "Blake Schwarzen. is the Brett Farve (sp?) of punk rock." And he said it like I should've known what he meant, so I got all embarrassed and didn't admit that I didn't know what he was talking about.

What does this mean?

"Pauly" (Burt Young) lives in New York and paints all day long these days. I've been trying to get him to do a portrait of Blake, but every time he gets halfway through, the canvas gets torn in two in the middle of the night.

Do you have anything to do with this?

I worked a show for NFG last night, and Chad told the crowd that the tour with Saves the Day was a 10th anniversary tour for Nothing Gold Can Stay, and I'm hoping also for Through Being Cool. They will probably play a ton of songs off those records.
