Kung Fu signs Knock-Out

Kung Fu has awoken from a considerable slumber and signed Riverside, CA punk/reggae act Knock-Out.

The label will soon digitally release the band's discography, which includes Let Go, Another Wasted Night and The Christmas EP.

The band will also support the Vandals and Voodoo Glow Skulls on their forthcoming west coast Winter Formal tour.

They are likely not to be confused with the defunct Chicago pop-punk band of the same name.

jesus.. like, as a person that actually likes sublime (i know it's unpopular here), i just don't understand why bands like Pepper and these guys need to exist. Apparently Kung-Fu never heard "been there done that" before.

1/4 of Pepper songs aren't bad.

Needless to say I have one friend whose favorite band is Sublime. He likes no other ska bands except for Pepper.

I agree completely. I'm not a gigantic Sublime fan but I do like them. No one is ever going to do what they did better than them. Bands like Pepper, and Slightly Stoopid and these guys need to stop trying.

Sublime's still a guilty pleasure of mine, but I agree. Pepper, stoopid and quite a few other bands - you have to wade through 20 shit songs to find one or two reasonable ones which ultimatley makes them shit bands.

Today's music scene is much more saturated with nauseating pop-punk with off-key pirate grunt vocals.

They only ever tour with VGS. I saw them open for Rancid only because VGS was on the bill. During Rancid's set, Lars said "Give it up for The Knockouts" and realized that even he hadn't paid attention to them.

This band is very good live. Check them out if you get the chance. Very energetic and have some damn good songs
