Mad Caddies building “Best Of” record from votes

Mad Caddies have decided to enlist the assistance of fans to choose the songs for their forthcoming Best Of record. The group explained:

Mad Caddies Greatest hits album is in the works but we need some info from you the fans. So we are giving you the fan the power to vote your favorite songs in. You have two weeks to make your vote count. This will be followed by a new Mad Caddies album coming in 2010.

The band last released Keep It Going in 2007 and are currently on a Canadian tour with The Johnstones.

Seriously guys? Keep it Going felt so god damn uneven. I enjoy pretty much all their stuff but I do have a soft spot for "Duck and Cover" and "The Holiday's Been Canceled". Best cover of an Abba song ever.

I agree as long as you mean the first half is the uneven part. Once it gets to reflections the album is great until it ends.

give this guy a prize! spot on, i'd totally agree with that. although i should point out that despite being last, QSC is still pretty good, and RTP has some of their best songs (mary melody, depleted salvo, shaving your life) but is just a bit uneven.

I got into them through their live record. They actually perform some of the older songs better than they did on the records themselves. I love Keep It Going, but it is uneven.

I saw the Queers open for these guys. I thought they were pretty good, but when I ran into them in the loading dock, it turned out they weren't even gay! I left angry and with a wasted condom.

Bands like the Mad Caddies and Dance Hall Crashers only existed to me in the three to four minute bursts on the myriad compilations I had back in my high school days. I enjoyed the songs, but knew that I'd never actually track down the respective albums. So they serve as a footnote to an earlier era in my life. Great times, driving around with my friends listening to those compilations.

I remember Honest Don's Welcome Wagon being one of the best compilations, along with Physical Fatness.

Let's give it up for yesteryear!

Cool idea but the only critique would be that the people voting on this probably own all the songs that'll end up on this? That said it means that people not into them can get the fans' idea of a best of as well as the bands.
