Dischord talks vinyl release plans, milestones

Dischord Records has sent us an update on progress as they reissue much of their catalogue on vinyl.

Beginning last November, the label began the process of bringing the production of our entire catalog back to the USA from Europe. Doing so required that we re-cut and replace the metalwork for each album and the label used the change as a chance to refresh current titles, but also to bring back titles that had been out of print.

As of one year in, the label has completed 30 reissues, including all of Fugazi's catalogue except Instrument.

within the last few months I've picked up the s/t and margin walker eps as well as repeater, steady diet, killer take, and red medicine. goddamn fugazi is so great!

My favourite is the Argument and I started to follow them when kill taker came out. Every record that they put out was better than the last. (Well except maybe for End Hits).

Instrument would be a good reissue... it's one of those records that you start and just let go. Good stuff to smoke to.
Still waiting for the Novelty reissue by Jawbox.... has to be one of the top 5 releases from this label.

Yes indeed, Novelty definitely needs the reissue treatment.

The production with Novelty was so goofy...I would love to see a remaster of Novelty...Static is the best.
