NOFX has posted the video for "Cokie the Clown" from their 7-inch of the same name due out November 24, 2009. It features "inadvertent"
cameos from Matt Skiba, Tim McIlrath of Rise Against and Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms among others.

Nice - glad you guys agreed that "inadvertent cameos" was the best way to explain it.

Why doesn't the Alkaline Trio just sign to Fat Wreck? I heard they were going to a long time ago (like around the time of Good Mourning) but they couldn't get out of their contract with Vagrant. 1+ Reply

Mike seems to have dropped a few pounds. Man, all these guys from Fat Wreck seem to slim down, think the label name is becoming inappropiate :) 1+ Reply

Seems like NOFX has gone a bit downhill since Bush was Fat Mike's personal buzzkill in '04, after the Rock Against Bush thing didn't pan out. Saw them in Anaheim last year, ugh, worst show they've put on since I originally saw them in '95. Perhaps they're beginning to struggle for relevancy now that they're over the hill? Cokie the clown? A flower shooting "coke"? Might not be a gimmick, but it's definitely lame. 2+ Replies

It's a circular narrative in many ways where it kind of sums up the human race in a time capsule.

Now I know why there was a camera filming him when I met him the day of their show here!

he missed brendan kelly, and it looks like he got tim earlier (flour on his shoulder?) and then redid it for the video.

Teenage Bottlerocket played a great set last night!!! If you ever have a chance to check them out, do so! They opened with "Skate or Die" and kept the high energy throughout the set. Was lots of fun to pogo to!

It's not bad, but it's got that same vocal melody that's in like 5 songs off their last 2 records...

Anyone know who that older guy with glasses is who gets sprayed in the face? I have seen him at shows since I was a wee lad and was standing next to him at TBR and the Lawrence Arms show. He seems like a rad guy. 1+ Reply

LOVE IT!!! Anything that Fat Mike, Melvin, or Even Matt Skiba do, I get stoked about and am never disappointed. This song reminds me of both Idiots are Taking Over and Skiba's "Cop".. oddly enough two sweeeeet songs just like Cokie.

I liked it. Not one of their best, but still entertaining. Coaster was great. Eddie, Bruce and Paul was funny and ripped. My Orphan Year is one of the most personal songs they have ever done (or at least, in a long time), which is a nice change of pace from all the gimmick songs (Creeping Out Sara, etc...).

Fucking, Punk Rock Joel! Alright, I've had to see this guy at literally 95% of the shows I go to, which means he probably goes to three times more shows than I do and he's got to be in his late 50's, at least. I think that's amazing that they put him in the video. He's an institution. 1+ Reply
