Title Fight with The Bled, Strike Anywhere

Four Year Strong have announced plans to support their 2009 Decaydance debut, Explains It All, with a headlining tour in early 2010. Half the shows will feature The Bled and the other half will include Strike Anywhere. All dates will include This Time Next Year and Title Fight.

I range between dislike and ambivalence for FYS, Title Fight and This Time Next Year, but seeing Strike Anywhere in a really good, small venue might be worth it. Depends how long their sets turn out to be.

I know that it only makes sense because The Bled are from AZ and therefore will draw a bigger crowd, and it sucks to say because one of my buddies is in The Bled, but I'd rather have Strike Anywhere on the Tempe date. They were so fucking good a few weeks ago.

I'm going to the dallas date. saturday night at the door. great club. and last time I saw FYS lots of hot chicks came out. kind of a welcome breath of fresh air from the whole bunch of sweaty dudes with beards crowd I'm normally in. plus really really want to see Title Fight.

This band is from Boston, yet they didnt have the decency to bring Strike Anywhere up here. I was sitting outside Camden Yards a few months back waiting to get autographs from Red Sox players, and this old lady comes up to me and starts talking about Four Year Strong. Apparently it was one of the band members' moms or grandmas or something.

dont be shocked that fys is the headliner, they were created to appeal to a mass market, heres how the meeting went:

1:"hey guys lets start a band so we can make money and get laid by tons of teenage girls"
2:"excellent! lets take the worst elements of pop-punk and hardcore and mix them together, people will eat it up"
1:"Yea, we can throw in a whole lot of double bass breakdowns, thats so hardcore"
2:"Agreed, and we can have some super low growly vocals here and there"
1:"Dude, gotta have those fall out boy vocals while we sing almost exclusively about girls"
2:"Duh, and what the hell, people seem to be diggin keyboards more and more, lets get that in there"
1:"allright, lets throw all of that together, and play at a comfortable midtempo pace"

FYS's new album is just stupid and pointless. I don't, however, think they are as childish and pathetic as some of the comments might suggest. their older albums are solid enough to be fun live, and the Bled rips. might go to this in ATL

Four Year Strong isn't awful live. The music is at least fun. I like This Time Next Year, and I love Strike Anywhere. Will be at Cleveland Date.
