Although you're right, Dan hasn't done much with The Falcon as far as touring and such because of Alkaline Trio. Thus my point.

Calm down, dude. I'm not saying he still is in the band, I'm only saying he was. I have seen live videos without him playing. My point is only that they are a decent, energetic band that doesn't sound tired, like this new Trio stuff does. It seems to me that maybe it would be a good idea for them to hang it up and play in the bands that seem to be inspiring them more as opposed to stick to their old band just because people know them better. After all, if you love music, you should want to make it the best you can.

P.S. my reference about you not knowing what you were talking about was the "She Wants Revenge" line. You are right that there are some similarities in the sound, but that's because they draw influence from the same bands: Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Joy Division, Depeche Mode, etc. Not to mention Interpol, another modern take on 80's post-punk. I think Heavens is much better at modernizing this sound than any of their peers, however.

Alkaline trio have always been a pop punk band that has a bit more money for production now. They were never fresh or original as you can tell by listening to Naked Raygun. I'm not going to get in a debate about the definition of punk rock but artistic growth has nothing to do with the equation. The Falcon is a sweet band but I would hardly call 3 chord punk fresh or inspiring. Heavens have nothing in common with Joy Division for instance and thats how they become fresh and inspiring? Get your facts straight before having a go at someone else. Oh and I checked out your old band which was a shitty rip off of early 2000's post hardcore bands. Fucking Coffee Cunt. Ha.
