Eluvium have released the video for "The Motion Makes Me Last" from their upcoming album, Similies. The record is the first from the band to feature vocals.

not really digging this. i usually like post-rock stuff, but the vocals kinda defeat the purpose. not saying that all post-rock bands MUST BE instrumental (bands like Jesu and Disappearer have roots in post-rock, and i believe they successfully made the jump to vocals), but like....yeah.

Yeah I am not a fan of this new song either. However, I am a huge Eluvium fan. I think the vocals don't really serve a purpose, especially with the time of music that Eluvium makes. There is enough emotion in the music alone.

dissapearer didnt make the jump successfully. i mean, its alright, but the first ep was my favorite.

a lot of people hate this album, but i found myself really enjoying it after a few listens. no, the vocals don't add much, but i don't think they ruin anything either. the main piano part in this song is dynamite.
