Alternative hip hop experimentalist M.I.A. have reposted their video for "Born Free." The controversial video which was directed by Romain Gavras was pulled from YouTube due to nudity, graphic violence and a scene where a young boy is shot in the head. The video itself is drawing allusions to the alleged killing of Tamil males by Sri Lankan government forces in 2009 with red-headed kids filling in for Tamil youth. The song is also notable for sampling "Ghost Rider", a 1977 song by the post-punk band Suicide.
