The Braces

The Braces have released a video for their song 'I'd Rather be Hot' which appears on their 2009 release I'm Telling Everyone. The band is currently planning a US tour for the summer, but are looking for help filling dates. You can check that out here.

Saw them a few weeks ago. First of all, they're still great live. Second, they did a drinking contest on stage. Not only is that irresponsible but it's also immature. What are they, frat boys? And there was this girl participating that took one sip and she was out. The same girl and her friend are these two chicks that go to shows in DC and Baltimore just to molest people. Seriously they're not even into the music, all they do is come up behind u and rub their hands all over u. My fiancée almost punched them out once. Then there was a fight because some guy got pissed off at them and another guy was defending them.

pretty sure you have the wrong band there dude. but while i have your attention, can you send me the link to these girls myspace pages? a bunch of my friends are in some dumb instrumental bands that could really use a couple girls running around molesting people to liven things up. i mean, you really expect me to pay $5 to see you play songs without words when i could just as easily spend that $5 to get pizza with you after the show? anyway, what's your favorite pizza place in baltimore/dc? don't say joe squared or i'll know you're one of THEM.

there is no great pizza round these parts, though BOP in fells point baltimore is alright. i like Never on Sunday in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore, though everyone says it's no good. I think they're right, but the memories were.

Don't mean to sound defensive, but there is a huge difference between telling a fan to check out an article on punknews because you are stoked to be on a site you respect and admire, and that person inadvertently decides to make an account to leave a nice comment on the article... Something that is really rare on punknews to begin with, and making accounts alone in our rooms and leaving comments on our own articles. Don't jump to conclusions or make assumptions because you don't like it when people show support for bands that don't have Joey Cape as a member.(see what I did there?)

there is a difference between responding to negative comments about our music, and negative comments about our actions. You made a defamatory statement about us by claiming that we would actually take the time to register fake usernames to post nice comments on our shit, it's not true and I don't think it's cool to just let that slide and have other people believe that. don't be a dick.

Video came out good. And to the few of you talking shit sit down and actually check out their record, or go to one of their shows, it grows on you more and more (not to say its not good at first just gets better each listen) and its fun punk rock. if you dont like that style then thats your loss because they do it well.
