4/5ths of Grade quit - Confirmation

In a confirmation of our previous post. Mike Cassarin of Grade got ahold of Timmy Punkbands this morning and told him "Hey everybody, all I want to say is four fifths of Grade have indeed quit and yes the new band ("Heirs To The Throne") is sure to be great. This is all I really can say at this time, thanks to all the supporters out there!"

As far as we know, their last headlining date will be this Friday, July 5th at the Trasheteria in Guelph.

[grade family tree] Greg Taylor was Grade's original Guitarist and now is playing whatever style of music is popular at the moment in Jersey. Matt Jones and Shawn Magill were original Bassist and Guitarist respectivly, who both quit earlier this year, for personal reasons or somthing. Kevin Harris was Grade's Original Drummer, then left, the joined Jersey, then left. Kevin Finlayson was the drummer on Seperate the magnets, I don't know what his deal is. Chris Danner came from Outspan, joined Grade, got kicked out, Joined Boys night Out, and got kicked out of that. I believe All if not 3/4 of the members in this last configuration came from a band called "Somehow Hollow", which has ex-members of Trunk. Now apparently they're doing that "Heir to the Thrown" thing. I don't know. I don't know if Kyle will get new people in Grade or if he'll give up.

any update on whether the trash is staying alive or not? this article mentioned the Trash potentially closing/changing formats, and this show being the last show at the trash. anybody know what's going on at the trash?

i think that the trash will survive. i have heard that there are shows planned for august (at least one big show... stay tuned if you are in the area) and lots planned for september. it's still more fun when people come out for punk nights though... o

I hope that singer gets a clue and gives the fuck up, he is one of the worst, most boring live performers I have ever seen. I am really pissed at how much they sucked in Vancouver.

Hopefully the singer is dead. When I saw them, though I'm sure it's a completely different band now, they all sucked. They sucked bad. I'll daresay they sucked bad enough to give Canada a bad name. Please, never ever post another Grade story on this site. Especially not two on one day. They don't deserve any of the attention they get, even this.

I don't really like Grade (just thought id share), but just out of curiosity.... There is abig difference between saying "4/5s of the band quit" and "the band is broken up" does their lead singer intend to go on with the band?

so some of you think grade sucks but what is ur big deal with hating the singer. the other guys are way stupider. somehow hoollllow (3 members in grade are from this band) suck SOOOO BAD.

The singer needs a kick in the ass.I saw them 5 months ago and he looked at the crowd with that 'I'm so good, you's all suck' kinda look. He didn't say two words besides singing throughout their set.Fucking arrogant fool.

For all the trash talking going on here...Do any of you actually know Kyle, let alone met the guy? I don't know him, but who are we to comment on the guy's personality if we don't know him... So, you don't like his voice, you don't like his performance, whatever, but personal attacks? They hold no worth...

i guess i'm the moron here since grade is one of my favorite bands and i have seen them twice this year and had a great fucking time. i have hung out with members of the band after the show and while you never know what is going on with them (happy bitchy fighting best friends), it did not suprise me at all they broke up. i gave my writing to kyle and he has written me back and discussed it with me at shows. he never came across as arrogant and the other members of the band encouraged me to share with them as well etc etc. kyle is really nice, really smart, and an incredible performer, very different from what most people expect/desire. i will sadly miss them but shit rocks on. kyle has some solo stuff he is working on anyways so he will always be grade.
