Gaslight Anthem, Mountain Goats, Gogol Bordello, more at Austin City Limits 2010

This year's incarnation of the Austin City Limits festival has been detailed. The shows will take place from October 8-10 at Zilker Park in Austin, TX. Notable acts appearing include Gaslight Anthem, Muse, LCD Soundsystem, Gogol Bordello, Matt and Kim, The National, The Flaming Lips, Spoon, The Strokes, Vampire Weekend, The Mountain Goats, The Sword, Portugal. The Man, The Black Keys, Lucero, Manchester Orchestra, The Soft Pack and a slew of others.

let's see, i've lived in austin for 4 years now and have yet to attend acl. i might give it a chance this year bc of gaslight and lucero. might...

Yeah, the $85 price tag for one day makes it questionable... any idea how long the typical set time is?

i've lived here for 8 years and have had no desire to attend this ever.
even when bob dylan came a few years ago, and elvis costello a few years before that.

i just hate big festivals like this, because of money and i usually don't like at least 75% of the bands playing. (this one is like 90%)
i will be on the lookout for the few bands i like playing some extra shows.
a few years ago nada surf and rocky votolato both played an extra show during this weekend at emo's for like $15.
much better than spending 10 times that and getting to watch them closer than 100 yards away.

Id rather spend hundreds of dollars to go to Chaos in Tejas, but alas I dont have that kind of money.

I would do it just to see the Marked Men. Fuck.

Would love to see the eagles, new stuff is pretty good, but then they won't be wearing Against Me or Menzinger shirts so I might leave it.
