Derron Nuhfer of Gunmoll and Less Than Jake has joined James Austin of Anchor Arms to form Eight Ghosts. The band claims to be influenced by "90's emo bands" and describes their sound in terms of Get Up kids, Murder City Devils, SDRE, Knapsack, Jimmy Eat World, Mineral, Deftones, Neil Diamond and Screeching Weasel.

The band will be releasing their debut through a partnership of Fail Safe Records and Death to False Hope Records. They are currently recording their EP, Heart Conditions and guests include Karl from Greenland is Melting on banjo and Susannah Caviness on percussion.
