The members of Rufio and their crew were in a nasty RV crash. According to their email report, a driver in a separate vehicle fell asleep at the wheel and sideswiped their RV while traveling at night in Nevada. Their RV was cut in two. The members of Rufio suffered bruises and cuts, but everyone has been able to leave the hospital. One of their crew is still hospitalized with damaged spleen, more detail on which is not yet available. The driver of the causing vehicle is on life support. They are going to take a few weeks to recover from injuries.

I think it's somewhat inappropriate that I have been given the option to "like" that several people were injured in a car wreck.

I wonder if they were boo'd off the road like they were boo'd off the stage last time I saw them open for Strung Out.

It's at this point, the editors question if putting a Facebook "Like" link was a good idea.

The worst part of this story? That Strung Out felt it was acceptable to tour with these shitheels.
TheChemist (June 14, 2010)
Real talk though: this sucks. They were my absolute favorite band when I was 12/13 years old. I would actually still probably go see them if they came around to SF. Hope they make a good recovery.

I can't believe some people on the org are so cruel. This blows, hopefully they are all okay.

Glad they can still play Seattle with Strung Out/We Are the Union. Show will be awesome.

A ChipIn account has been created to help raise money for Rufio -- to help cover medical costs and to replace equipment. |
