Gaslight Anthem: “State of Love and Trust (Pearl Jam)”

Gaslight Anthem visited Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and recorded their own track, "Boxer," from American Slang as well as the Pearl Jam favorite, "State of Love and Trust." The latter song comes from the soundtrack of the 90s-era film, Singles and appears on Pearl Jam's best-of album, rearviewmirror.

Eddie is probably a good guy, his heart is probably in the right place but his music is dogshit.

I love the actors they have positioned behind the band to make it look like the show has a young and hip studio audience. Show business is good for a laugh some times.

That cover is horrendous. Don't try to sing an Eddie Vedder song unless you want to look bad. That guy has one of the most technically skilled voices in rock n' roll history.

They aren't actors, they are often friends of the band. The extra song for the website is usually taped earlier in the day before the audience is there.

Pearl Jam is a true punk band in my opinion. They stand up for what they believe in (music & social issues) even if the consequences are less popular albums, etc. If you are judging Pearl Jam off of their early records you aren't getting the whole picture, although in my opinion those are damn good records. My favorite record is Yield.
